2018 new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT650 first photos ...

ROYAL ENFIELD AT ODDS AND AT CROSSROADS. AN OVERHEAD CAM ENGINE THAT CANNOT EVEN OPERATE AT OVER 16,000-RPM TODAY, IS SUICIDE.

  • 1.       THE FEMALE HOST WITH AN INDIAN MAFIA ACCENT OF A BULLY.
  • 2.       AN OVERSQUARED ENGINE REPLACES THE ERSTWHILE UNDERSQUARED DECADES OLD TRADITION AT A TIME WHEN ENGINE DESIGNS BY VW, TOYOTA, HONDA HAVE BACK TRACKED TO UNDERSQUARE ENGINES, DUE TO THE FACT THAT UNDERSQUARE TORQUE IS GRAVITIONALLY FREE AS OPPOSED TO EXPENSIVE HORSE POWER FOR A TRACK SUITED ENGINE.

2.1. INITIAL DATA DOES NOT SEEM TO FIT INTO A MATHEMATICAL SUMMATION. MAYBE  THEY DON'T HAVE ONE AND MAY TURN OUT TO BE A MISFIT.
  • 3.       FOUR VALVES ARE COSTLY AND UNNECESSARY RUNNING OVERHEAD CAMS AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES.
  • 4.       AN OVERHEAD CAM RUNNING AT HIGHER CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURES REQUIRES EXPENSIVE SYNTHETIC OILS AND CAN LAST ONLY A SAFE 1,000-KMS.
  • 5.       CHAIN DRIVEN IS NOT AS RELIABLE AS THEIR TRADITIONAL PUSHRODS. CORVETTE HAVE PROVEN THIS.
  • 6.       THE OVERALL DESIGN TARGETS A LOW GAS MILEAGE IN DESIGN  AND REPLACES THE HIGH MILEAGE LONG STROKE.
  • 7.       THE ORIGINAL INTERCEPTOR IS RICHER IN DESIGN.
  • 8.       AT THIS POINT, IT IS A MIX OF MARKETING CONFUSION  COVERED UP BY HIGH TECH TECHNOLOGY. IT MAY BE A WINNER OR LOSER LIKE A SHOT IN THE DARK. AN ADVENTURE INTO THE UNKNOWN.  SEEMS TOO RISKY, PROFITWISE, MARKET WISE AND LEGITIMACY OF A 116-YEAR OLD TRADITION. THEY HAVE MADE MONEY WITH PUSHROD ENGINES AND ARE SQUANDERING THEIR SUCCESS WITH OVERHEAD CAMS AND OBSOLETE BRITISH ENGINEERS WHOSE ENGINE CANNOT EVEN OPERATE AT OVER 16,000-RPM SAFELY. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BOTH SAFER AND WISER,  IF THIS POWER PLANT WAS OPTIONAL.
  • IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A LOW BUDGET, LOW MAINTENANCE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD SIMPLICITY THIS MAY NOT BE THE BIKE FOR YOU.
